Salient features of the hospital
The hospital was started as a 15 bedded hospital in 1987 and has expanded into a 75 bedded multispeciality hospital now.
The chief medical officer of the hospital is Prof.Dr.V.Narayanasamy MS. His areas of interest are general surgery, oncology and hepatobiliary surgery. He was previously the Head of the Department of Surgery, Madurai Medical College, Madurai.
The hospital offers the following services:
1.General Surgery: Prof. Dr.V.Narayanasamy MS
All routine general surgical procedures like hernia surgery, appendicectomy etc.
2.Surgical Oncology and Surgical Gastroenterology:
Procedures for cancer of thyroid, GI tract,breast and cervix
Cholecystectomy and for Relux diseases with facility for laparoscopic surgery.
3.Neurosurgery: Dr.N.Veera Rajkumar MS MCh
Neurosurgery is a hallmark of the hospital and surgeries are done for Brain tumors, Disc prolapse,
Pediatric neurosurgery, Head and spinal cord injury and spinal instrumentation, surgeries for pain relief.An operating microscope is available.
4.Orthopaedics and Traumatology:
The hospital is fully equipped to handle trauma cases and medicolegal cell is available.
A C-arm and orthopaedic attachments are available.
5.Obstetrics and Gynaecology:
The hospital routinely conducts deliveries and a Well woman clinic is available.
Screening for breast cancer and cervical cancer is done and counselling.
Infertility services and laparoscopic surgery for infertility and gynaecolgical surgeries are done.
